$5 Friday: The Poppy

Last Friday, we said goodbye to our beautiful Grandmother, Mother, confidante, and friend. One of the hardest goodbyes I have ever done. My Grandmother, my mothers Mother-in-Law, my Dads mom, was one incredible person, and her presence will be greatly missed.  I apologize for this $5 Friday being late. Friday was her funeral.

She passed away on her birthday, August 11th. The birth flower for the month of August is the Poppy. Wasatch Quilting has designed a beautiful E2E called the “Poppy Simple E2E”, and I thought I would give the Poppy as our $5 special this week. I know we are late in getting this to you. Not to worry, I am going to leave this on sale for two weeks, along with giving you another one this Friday!

For your printable, I have designed this gorgeous goodbye quote with a Poppy Flower. You can use it for a card when you need to send condolences, sympathy, or simply print and frame next to someone special you miss in your home. If you would like these to print as cards, I am providing you with this Microsoft Word document that is ready to be printed onto card stock. Just click the link below.

Thank you everyone for your patience this week. We will be making it up to you with some extra specials all week long. Stay tuned for them!

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. I do understand. One of my best friends of 40 years passed to be with her husband this past Thursday. I love your design–it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you. Jane in AZ

    • Oh man I’m sorry to hear that you are going through this. I was definitely crying when making this printable. Losing someone is never easy no matter what point it is in their life or ours.

  2. I am so sorry for your loss, and truly understand. August 11 was my mom’s birthday also. We had a surprise party for her 90th birthday. She fell that day, went into the hospital, and died a few days later. Losing your mom leaves a hole in your heart. She spoke of her mom often. I never realized how much she missed her mom until now I hope you find the peace you need, and it does take time, but the pain does soften.
    Blessings to you all.
